Citrus Spice Bakery is Moving

Citrus Spice Bakery is moving! The new location will be in Draper, UT. The new free delivery area will be Salt Lake and Utah Counties. $20 delivery fee for the rest of northern Utah. I'm excited to meet new people and expand my customer base!

These macarons are my last order in Syracuse. Vanilla shells with vanilla bean French buttercream, dyed green; raspberry shells with raspberry French buttercream; and vanilla shells, dyed blue, with chocolate ganache. I love making French macarons. They're so fun and colorful, and of course, delicious!

Chocolate Raspberry Red Velvet Cake

It was my sister's birthday this week, and she requested a red velvet cake. I took it a step further and did three layers of red velvet cake, filled with cream cheese frosting and fresh raspberries, frosted outside in chocolate frosting with more raspberries for garnish. It was a really delicious cake - my favorite red velvet that I've ever had. Happy birthday, Angela!

Chocolate Hazelnut Dacquoise

My dad's birthday is right after Valentine's day, and this year I wanted to make him a special dessert. This is a French pastry, chocolate hazelnut dacquoise. Inside, it has 4 layers of crispy hazelnut meringue, filled with German buttercream, glazed with chocolate ganache, and garnished with hazelnuts and almonds. It was really fancy and delicious.

Whale You Be My Valentine?

I made valentine's day cookies for my daughters' school classes, and they picked this design. They are soft sugar cookies covered with modeling chocolate, with decorator's buttercream details. I'm not sure if the Kindergarteners got the joke, but the teachers and helper moms thought it was funny! Every last cookie got eaten in record time, so that's the important part.

White Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cake

My oldest daughter's first grade teacher had a baby, so we made her a congratulatory cake in her favorite flavors, strawberry and white chocolate. Inside, it's strawberry cake with strawberry French buttercream, covered with white chocolate ganache, and decorated with modeling chocolate flowers. Congratulations on your new baby girl, Mrs. T!

Super Bowl Cupcakes

I got to make an order of Super Bowl cupcakes this week. Half chocolate, half vanilla with hand painted logos on white chocolate discs. Each one was individually hand painted with food coloring. No stamps or stencils were used. I did the two Super Bowl teams, and then also a couple of extra logos of the couple's favorite teams.

Minnie Birthday Cake

I was really excited to make this cake, and all three of my girls said they wanted the same exact cake for their birthdays. This was a chocolate cake with vanilla whipped American buttercream, piped on in ruffles to represent Minnie's skirt. Sugar paste polka dots, bow, and ears complete the look.
